Hello! I’m Melissa!

I’ve been in the luxury salon business since 1995. My career includes Kiva Spa, Tiffany Kim Institute, Steiner of London, the acclaimed NY salon, Prive, Mon Ami Coiffeur for 10 years, and culminated my career by owning Abeille Beauty & Bridal in Lincoln Park for a decade.

I currently work as an elite stylist catering to clients in Chicago at George The Salon, Thursday-Saturday, and in Winnetka at City and Shore Studios on Wednesday.

I’ve been blessed to have a loyal following for over 25 years, and the relationships that have grown from it are truly the most gratifying aspect of being a stylist!

I specialize in hair shaping, and the masterful dry cutting technique I call “invisible layering,” designed to eliminate bulk while giving hair movement. You can find me behind the chair creating a myriad of styles ranging from classic to the most on-trend cuts, blowouts, keratin treatments, special occasion styling and tape-in extensions.

I’m humbled and grateful by the recognition I’ve received from being voted “Best Long Hair Stylist” by Chicago Magazine, articles about my career in numerous media outlets including “Ones to Watch” in “W”Magazine, Chicago Social, CS Brides, Chicago Style Weddings, Lucky, Today’s Chicago Woman, and opportunities to style hair for countless local fashion shows, makeover segments on talk shows and local news, editorial shoots, and styling backstage at New York Fashion Week.

As a Lake Forest resident and sports mom, you can find me on the field or courtside at my kids’ travel games, gardening and watching HGTV! I love traveling, and I’ve gained inspiration from my journeys to over 30 countries.
